Cruise Ship Docks in Boston With 2 Dead Passengers

Oct. 28, 2011: Norwegian Cruise Line ship docks in Boston after two people are found dead on board.

BOSTON – Massachusetts State Police say a cruise ship has docked in Boston after two passengers died.

Police responded to the Black Falcon Cruise Terminal after the Norwegian Cruise Line ship docked at 6:30 a.m. on Friday.

Police say a 67-year-old woman appears to have died of an apparent medical condition and the death is not considered suspicious.

The cause of death of a 23-year-old man is unknown and his cabin is being processed for possible evidence, but there is no early indication of foul play, according to the office of Suffolk District Attorney Daniel Conley.

The passengers died Thursday, but their deaths are not considered connected.

Because the man died at sea and beyond state lines, the investigation into how he died might be handled by federal authorities, a representative from the office said.

No names were released.

A message was left Friday with Miami-based Norwegian Cruise Line.
